By design there is no way to see a list of Forte servers.
Not true. Note that it may not be visible in some of the more widely used fediverse/nodeinfo trackers yet. Forte sites are generally smaller private sites for friends and family running on pocket sized computers or shared hosting. We aren't playing the popularity game. If you are, you don't really "get" what the fediverse is. We're all one big family and we can all communicate no matter what software we use. The focus on brands and marketing and merch are capitalist concepts which aren't really needed here. Use what works for you.
Forte mainly targets people with technical know-how, as the code repository does not include guide on how to setup your own Forte server.

I think there's also a Yunohost image someplace. It would take less than two minutes to convert a streams repository Dockerfile to run forte and update the README accordingly, but it's a relatively recent branch of a long established family of fediverse servers (much older than Mastodon) and it's entirely possible nobody has done this yet.
